I am the Pastor of The Journey , a new church plant in Ottawa. We are a people on mission working together for the common good and renewal of our city –that’s our journey!

The image of the Christian life as a journey captures my experience of following Jesus like few others. Journey involves movement, action, risks, stops and starts, detours, delays, stories, joy, and celebration. My blog is a reflection of that journey.

This is my personal blog. It is a continuing conversation that digs into nuts and bolts of leadership, discipleship, theology, and the movement that is called missional.

I write on mission, discipleship, church, family, life, leadership, and, on occasion, stuff that doesn’t fit neatly into one of these categories. I also often write about the resources I am discovering and books I am reading, and the blogs I am enjoying.

On A More Personal Note

If I would have to label myself (which I am hesitant to do), I would probably say that I am an Anabaptist, lower-case evangelical, fairly charismatic, sometimes contemplative, follower of Jesus. I love good coffee (no not the Starbucks kind but the espresso kind), urban environments, cooking tasty food, red wine, playing sports… and of course the joy of my life… FAMILY!

Ottawa is a great city, filled with great churches and we are humbled to join what God is already doing, playing our part in helping people encounter life and hope in Jesus. We invite you to join us in the adventure.

Thanks God for the amazing “Journey”… I am looking forward to how the Story continues.
